South Koreans are proud of the high quality, mineral-rich mud on the Daecheaon Beach and more than happy to share with everyone. Almost 300000 tourists visit every year so get ready for the crowd.

5| Whitby Goth Weekend

WGW is another great festival where you can let your darker side shine. It’s not only a great alternative music festival and a fantastic opportunity for some goth style cosplaying but you can also visit the over 100 stalls at the Bizarre Bazaar Alternative Market to find some bizarre and amazing stuff to take home more than just your memories. WGW is held in England.

6| San Diego Comic-Con

The famous San Diego Comic-Con, every geek’s and nerd’s dream. It’s more of a Convention than a festival but the main thing is that you can have fun, cosplay, connect with like-minded people and experience something unique.

Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival has it all! It’s beautiful by day & magical at night. It has art, architecture, ice & snow. Definitely one of the best festivals for geeks! You will find this amazing festival in China and it’s the biggest exhibition of ice and snow sculptures.

Come and see the jaw-dropping ice giants! The grand opening includes fireworks and all the fun a festival offers. You’re also going to find three theme parks to ensure multi-day fun.

8| Anime Expo

The Anime Expo is all anime lovers’ heaven! It’s a great way to personally meet with some of the biggest names in the community, take some photos and have a little chat. 9| Yokote Kamakura Festival

Yokote Kamakura Festival is a snowy childhood dream come true. A nice Akita tradition of 400 years is on display during these two days. Tiny (for candles only) and larger (with a capacity of up to six people) igloos are built which create a lovely view and atmosphere all around the city.

It is rather a relaxing festival than one with loud music, dancing, and the crowd. The festival is held in Japan.

Abbey Medieval Festival is every time travel fans’ dream come true! Because who doesn’t dream about time travel once in a while. I know I do. Abbey Medieval Festival will take you back in time, only with functioning toilet and paper.

Kuwana Winter Lights Festival is another beautiful winter festival in Japan. They sure know how to make the winter blues go away. An incredible “lightscape” replaces the beauty of the Nabana No Sato botanic theme park’s flowers for about four months each year.

12. Fantasy Fest

Fantasy Fest is here for the kinky & the cheeky geeks! This time, it’s probably the best if you leave the kids at home because the costumes can get more than cheeky sometimes they’re only just a little body paint or even absent. However, the fun is real and free from any judgment for sure!
