What are the best anime for beginners? Where to start? What types of animes are there? There is a lot of questions when you’re a newbie to the world of anime.
We love anime and we want everyone else to love it too so we put together a list with some of the best anime series for beginners. These are all shows that proved themselves through generations, to genders, to professionals and fans as well that they deserve to be on the top of any best anime series list.
I understand that for those who first encounter the anime series world, it could come off as strange looking and sounding characters are doing strange things in strange worlds. Sounds awesome, right?! Well, not for everyone for the first time hearing. For example, Ben didn’t get into watching animes as a child and it was kind of hard to get him sit down and watch a couple of episodes. The first show he got into was Death Note. (I decided to show him that series first considering him being a strong man and all.)
I promise, if you sit down with an open heart and mind, grab a few slices of pizza you will be blown away.

Here I collected my favorite anime shows, hoping to serve the newcomers of anime world just as well as the experienced tourers. I tried to pick shows so that people with different tastes can find something here. Death Note has one question: what would you do if you had the power to kill anyone on the planet by just writing their name in a notebook. This show mixes fantasy with the real world, a great dose of cat and mouse thriller introduces you two exceptionally intelligent minds. Pure fun! This show will make you laugh and forget about all your problems at least for a couple of hours. The protagonist is Haruhi, a poor tomboyish student at a school for the ultra-wealthy. She is only able to attend because of a scholarship, but unable to even afford a uniform.
One day, she stumbles across the peculiar but very popular Ouran Highschool Host Club and accidentally breaks a vase. Since she is unable to pay for it, she’s told to stay and work to cover the price. However, they soon realize, that she would be more valuable as a club member.
All this time they do not realize she’s a girl due to her tomboyish style, so they fix her up and give her a male uniform. Haruhi has no choice but to play along and finally able to form real friendships she has never dreamed of.

Paranoia Agent is not an easy ride for sure. It deals with relevant deeply-rooted societal problems. And the fact that Satoshi Kon (the creator) likes to play with perception, reality, and notion of time is well worth to keep in mind. This show is entertaining from the intro until the ending credits.
The story folds out as seemingly unconnected citizens of Tokyo, who are targeted for bludgeoning by a boy with a golden baseball bat. As detectives try to link the victims, they discover something unexpected; all the victims’ lives have improved in some ways after the attack.

Yeh… I added because it’s anime like and maybe a good choice for those who want to get started watching animes because so many people like it. Even those who don’t like anime. I actually wrote down above why I added the show.
What about Neon Genesis Evangelion? And if you included movies, Perfect Blue, or EVERYTHING BY STUDIO GHIBLI.
There are so many amazing animes that would deserve to be on this list but then it would be never-ending. I love NGE too. I wanted to concentrate on including some of the bests in all kinds of genre. I’ve been meaning to put together more lists on anime both movies and shows. Check back I’ll start publishing some this month. =)
I love me some Black Butler! It is a beautifully animated series with a cool storyline and some goofy side characters to give a laugh when things get heavy
